Pets & Animals For house pets and small livestock, there are generally two concerns: 1. Internal Parasites 2. Fleas, ticks, mites, and lice   For internal Parasites, most people mix 2% Fossil Shell Flour  or FPP (Fossilized Phytoplankton Powder)  with the pet food. In other words, if you have a 50 pound bag of pet food or chicken feed, you could just add 1 pound of FSF or FPP to the bag and then shake, turn, or mix the bag until all the feed is lightly covered with the powder and then just feed as normal. Otherwise, you can add 1/2 teaspoon to 2 teaspoons (depending on weight of pet) to their feed daily. Don't add it to their water, because it will just settle on the bottom of the bowl. Use your hands to work the powder into the coats. This can be applied to pets as young as a few days old without harming them.
